Caribbean regional events scheduled for late 2026
The Caribbean is preparing for two major regional events in late 2026. The 20th Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) will take place in Jamaica from September 27 to October 2, 2026. Organized by the CARICOM Secretariat and the Government of Jamaica, the event will feature over 70 technical sessions focused on transforming regional food systems. Key topics include digital agriculture, climate-smart technology, food security, and youth involvement in agri-business.
In Dominica, the 26th World Creole Music Festival is scheduled for October 23 to 25, 2026, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium. The festival lineup includes international and regional artists such as Ne-Yo, Machel Montano, Tabou Combo, Skillibeng, Alkaline, Uncle Waffles, and Diblo Dibala. Tourism Minister Denise Charles Pemberton noted that the festival is expected to provide significant economic benefits to the nation's hospitality and transportation sectors.
