Caribbean school football competitions advance in Antigua and Jamaica

Regional school football competitions are progressing in the Caribbean. In Antigua and Barbuda, the Cool & Smooth/Joma Caribbean Schools Football Knockout is heading toward its finals at the ABFA Technical Centre. Defending champion Princess Margaret School (PMS) is set to face Antigua Girls High School in the girls’ final, while the PMS boys' team will attempt to defend their title against the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies.

The tournament features 49 teams from 15 schools. Coordinator Rowan “Porridge” Benjamin noted an increase in participation but highlighted challenges regarding the need for more coaches to manage the high volume of matches.

In Jamaica, the ISSA Ben Francis Cup is moving into the quarter-finals. Defending champions Clarendon College secured their spot with a 2-0 victory over Ocho Rios High. Other teams advancing to the quarter-finals include Old Harbour High, Dinthill Technical, Glenmuir High, McGrath High, Munro College, Denbigh High, and Manchester High.
