Caribe Bay research shows water parks becoming vacation destinations

Market research commissioned by Caribe Bay in Jesolo indicates that water parks are evolving from day-trip destinations into full vacation destinations. The findings suggest that visitor expectations are shifting, with comfort and well-being becoming as important as, or even more important than, the pursuit of adrenaline.

Caribe Bay, which hosts over 300,000 guests annually, plans to expand its immersive offerings. By 2027, the park intends to introduce ‘Agua Azul,’ featuring 12 hydrotherapy pools and a 110-meter pool with salinity levels mimicking the Dead Sea. Additionally, the park will introduce four experiential rooms themed around the Amazon rainforest, thunderstorms, snowfall, and a cave with sub-zero temperatures and 20 cm of snow.

According to CEO and founder Luciano Pareschi, approximately 85% of those surveyed consider staying at least two nights in the Jesolo area to fully experience the park. While Caribe Bay does not yet own its own hotel, it collaborates with local hotels and campsites to support this growing trend of multi-day stays.
