Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association elects new board

The Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association (CCCT) elected a new board of directors during its annual Tourism Summit and Annual General Meeting held in Lillooet. The event brought together tourism operators from across the region to conduct association business and hear from guest speakers.

CEO Amy Thacker reported that a recent audit by Doane Grant Thornton showed that 80 cents of every dollar received by the CCCT is directed into its programs. Looking ahead to 2027, the association intends to prioritize renewing its contract with Destination BC.

The summit also included the 2026 CCCT Awards Gala. Recipients of the jade trophies, carved by artisan George Vanderwolf, included the Jakira Foundation for the Innovation in Tourism Award, Barkerville Historic Town & Park for Best Tourism Marketing Initiative, and the 108-Mile Heritage Site for the Good Neighbour Award. Vanderwolf also received a special recognition award for his service.
