Carin León makes history as first Mexican headliner at Summer Sonic Tokyo
Mexican singer Carin León has made history at the Summer Sonic festival in Japan, becoming the first Mexican artist to headline a stage at the event in Tokyo.
León began his festival circuit in Osaka, performing on the international stage known as The Mountain. Prior to the official performances, he recorded acoustic versions of tracks from his latest album, 'MUDA', within a traditional Buddhist temple in Osaka.
In Tokyo, León served as the official curator for the Beach Stage, where he selected artists LATIN MAFIA and Paloma Morphy to represent the new generation of Mexican music. His performances in both cities drew significant crowds and highlighted the growing international reach of regional Mexican music.
