Carinola prison inmates complete sustainable agriculture training

The “Bioeconomy for Inclusion” project has concluded at the G. B. Novelli prison in Carinola, Caserta. The initiative aimed to facilitate the social and professional reintegration of inmates through vocational training in sustainable agriculture.

Promoted by Novamont, a company of Versalis (Eni), in collaboration with the cooperative Terra Felix, the program involved five inmates. Participants received training in regenerative agriculture and the use of innovative technologies, such as biodegradable mulch films and compostable clips.

The project included practical field activities within the prison's agricultural area and an Open Day event that engaged local students and citizens. The initiative is part of Eni’s multi-year territorial development plan to promote sustainable socio-economic growth in the regions where the group operates.
