Carinthia announces return of Integration Prize
The Austrian state of Carinthia has announced the return of its Integration Prize after a one-year hiatus. The competition seeks projects that create spaces for encounter, reduce prejudice, and promote participation opportunities.
Applications are open from September 1 until October 15, 2026, across three categories: civil society engagement, integration within the community, and integration within companies. Each winning project in these categories will receive 5,000 euros. A new requirement for this year's application process is the submission of a three-minute video.
Decisions will be made by a specialist committee including representatives from the Industrial Association, the Municipal Association, the University of Klagenfurt, the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, and the state government. Governor Daniel Fellner emphasized that integration requires mutual openness and dialogue.
