Carinthian government receives Erntekrone from agricultural representatives
The Chamber of Agriculture Carinthia and Carinthian Youth have presented the ‘Erntekrone’ (Harvest Crown) to the Carinthian state government. The ceremony was led by Governor Daniel Fellner and Chamber President Siegfried Huber.
Siegfried Huber highlighted the vital role of the agricultural and forestry sectors in Carinthia, noting that approximately 500 farms manage 87% of the state's land area. The sector contributes over 1.1 billion euros in value creation and supports more than 22,000 full-time jobs, primarily in rural regions.
Despite a smaller crown this year due to a period of drought, Huber emphasized the symbol as a sign of cooperation between the agricultural community and the government. Governor Fellner acknowledged the crown as a symbol of gratitude for the harvest and a tribute to the daily labor of farmers that maintains the Carinthian landscape.
