Caritas in the Diocese of Fulda expands pastoral care and announces 2026 charity event

The Caritas organization within the Diocese of Fulda is expanding its pastoral care services for employees, volunteers, and clients. To meet evolving needs, the association has implemented a training program for professional staff to provide spiritual guidance, services, and workshops. Following an initial group of 11 trainees, an additional 16 are expected to complete a three-year training program by 2027.

Additionally, the Diocese of Fulda has announced the 2026 Caritas Sunday, scheduled for September 20, 2026. Under the motto ‘Zusammen geht was. Caritas verbindet Generationen’ (Together something happens. Caritas connects generations), the event aims to promote solidarity and intergenerational exchange. Local parishes will participate by collecting donations to support various social and charitable aid programs provided by the association.
