Caritas expands youth support services in Austria and Germany
The Caritas organization has expanded its social support services through local initiatives in Austria and Germany.
In Neunkirchen, Austria, the Pfarrcaritas held a breakfast event at its recently renovated and now barrier-free youth center. The event highlighted the involvement of young volunteers in supporting local needy individuals.
In Kolbermoor, Germany, the Caritas officially inaugurated "Haus Luan," a partially supervised residential group for young men aged 16 and older. The facility provides a protected living space and professional guidance for youth facing mental health challenges, difficult family circumstances, or trauma. Supported by the Sparkassenstiftung Zukunft and the Rosenheim Orphanage Foundation, the program aims to prevent social isolation and homelessness by assisting residents with daily tasks, education, and vocational training.
