Carl Ashton jailed for stalking and harassment campaign

Carl Ashton, 46, has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison at Cambridge Crown Court following a campaign of harassment against a woman. Ashton admitted to stalking and breaching a non-molestation order.

Between July and August 2025, Ashton sent more than 300 emails to the victim, often using manipulative and emotionally abusive tactics, including threats of self-harm. The harassment escalated on September 6, 2025, when Ashton arrived uninvited at the victim's home at 4 a.m., attempting to enter through a window and shouting through the letterbox.

In addition to the stalking charges, Ashton was found to have breached a non-molestation order in May 2026 by posting about the victim on social media.
