Carl Cox provides three tracks for new Animal Farm film adaptation

Techno DJ Carl Cox has composed three original tracks for the soundtrack of Andy Serkis' new animated adaptation of George Orwell's novel Animal Farm. The film, marketed as an animated comedy with an alternative coming‑of‑age plot, features a voice cast that includes Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Laverne Cox and Woody Harrelson. Cox's tracks – titled “The Rogues”, “Drone Farm” and “My Bunker My Party” – are integrated into the film’s tonal core rather than serving as background music.

The adaptation premiered in the United States last year and is slated for cinema release in the United Kingdom and Ireland on July 24. This marks Cox’s first foray into film scoring after a four‑decade career in DJing, festival curation, label founding and headline performances at major venues.
