Carl Orff Music Festival brings chamber music to Putignano

The international section of the Carl Orff Music Festival is taking place at the Teatro G. Laterza in Putignano, featuring a series of chamber music concerts by internationally recognized performers.

On August 31, the program includes works by W. A. Mozart and J. Brahms, featuring musicians such as pianist Federico Lavato and violinist Robert Kowalsky. The festival continues on September 2 with a performance dedicated to Mozart and Schubert, including Mozart’s Duo No. 1 for violin and clarinet and Schubert’s String Quintet in C major.

The event features musicians from prominent European orchestras, including members of the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Orchestra Sinfonica della Svizzera Italiana, and the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. The festival, founded in Puglia by Michael Flaksman, is under the artistic direction of Jelena Ocic and Vito Amatulli.
