Carl Starfelt joins Sweden squad after training injury

Swedish defender Carl Starfelt has joined the national team camp despite sustaining a head injury during training with his club, Celta Vigo. The 31-year-old center-back reported receiving a blow to the forehead and eye area during a duel with a teammate.

Starfelt noted that while the injury occurred in a sensitive area, it has healed well. He expressed readiness to participate in the upcoming Nations League matches, which present an opportunity following injuries to other defenders like Isak Hien.
