Carl Zeiss faces stock downgrade and product reviews
Goldman Sachs has downgraded Carl Zeiss Meditec from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Sell’, lowering its price target from 27 to 23 euros. Analyst Richard Felton cited a discrepancy between the current stock valuation and projected revenue development. Despite the stock losing over 20 percent of its value so far this year, the analyst suggests that earnings development may not have yet reached a floor.
Separately, the Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42 binoculars received a ‘very good’ rating of 1.5 in a product test by IMTEST. The device, positioned as a ‘perfect generalist’ with a retail price of 1,250 euros, earned high marks for optics (1.2) and received good ratings for equipment, handling, and service.
