Fisnik Asllani's transfer to RB Leipzig collapses over medical concerns

The highly anticipated transfer of striker Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim to RB Leipzig has collapsed. Despite an agreement on a release clause valued at approximately €25 million, the deal fell through following medical examinations.

RB Leipzig reportedly cited "medical concerns" as the reason for withdrawing from the agreement. While the specific nature of these health concerns remains undisclosed, TSG Hoffenheim's sporting director, Andreas Schicker, has publicly contested the severity of the findings. Schicker stated that the club believes Asllani is capable of performing "at the highest physical and sporting level" and emphasized, "We stand by our player."

As a result of the failed move, the 23-year-old Kosovan international will remain at Hoffenheim. Asllani, who recorded 21 goal contributions in 35 competitive matches last season, is expected to rejoin his teammates for training next week.
