Carlinda motorcycle accident results in fatal crash

A 24-year-old woman, identified as Maria Djanete, died following a motorcycle accident in the Maravilha community in Carlinda, Mato Grosso. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, approximately 30 kilometers from Alta Floresta.

According to witnesses, the victim had been consuming alcohol at her residence and expressed a desire to demonstrate the speed of her motorcycle. Despite attempts by others to prevent her from driving, she proceeded toward a local church. While returning, she failed to navigate a curve, causing the vehicle to travel straight into a wire fence.

The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Although emergency medical teams attempted to rescue her and provide transport to a medical facility, she succumbed to her injuries during transit. Local police have isolated the scene, and technical forensic experts (Politec) were called to conduct an investigation.
