Carlo Acutis honored at San Gerardo Hospital as reports of healing emerge
The San Gerardo Hospital in Monza is set to inaugurate a ‘Garden of Saints’ on October 12 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of Carlo Acutis. Acutis, a figure of significant interest to the faithful, was hospitalized at the facility during the final days of his life. The garden will feature QR codes allowing visitors to learn about various saints whose lives are connected to the hospital’s history, including San Gerardo dei Tintori, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, and Carlo Acutis.
In a separate account of faith, Spanish pediatrician María Dolores Rosique reported an unexpected recovery from advanced ovarian cancer. After receiving a terminal prognosis of six months to one year, Rosique traveled to Assisi to pray at the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis. Her story is cited as one of several reported instances of healing attributed to his intercession as his canonization approaches.
