Carlo Acutis relics to arrive in Paraná, Argentina

The relics of Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager known as the ‘saint of the Internet,’ are scheduled to arrive in Paraná, Argentina, on Thursday, the 10th. The relics will travel from Chascomús to the San Agustín parish before being transferred to the Santo Domingo Savio parish in the south of the city for enthronement.

Born in London to Italian parents and later residing in Milan, Acutis was a computer enthusiast who used his skills to create a virtual exhibition of Eucharistic miracles. He died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15. After being declared ‘venerable’ by Pope Francis in 2018, his path to sainthood was advanced following the recognition of a miracle involving the healing of a child in Brazil.

The return of the relics holds particular significance for the Santo Domingo Savio community, as previous relics held there were stolen in July 2025. The parish maintains a strong connection to Acutis, hosting the Carlo Acutis Institute, a local secondary school named in his honor.
