Carlo Acutis TV movie to premiere on Canale 5
The television film ‘Il mio nome è Carlo’, directed by Giacomo Campiotti, is scheduled to premiere on Canale 5 on September 27, 2026. A co-production between RTI and Movie Magic International, the film depicts the life of Carlo Acutis, a teenager who became known as the first saint of the digital age.
The narrative follows Acutis through three key stages of his life at ages 6, 11, and 15, filmed in Milan and Assisi. The story explores his balance between modern interests—such as video games, football, and computer science—and his deep spiritual faith, specifically how he used the internet to spread religious messages.
Samuele Carrino stars as the teenage Carlo, while Lucia Mascino portrays his mother, Antonia Salzano. The production aims to provide an authentic portrayal of Acutis’s human and spiritual journey, highlighting his sensitivity toward those in need.
