Carlo Ancelotti advocates for Brazilian youth development
Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti is emphasizing the importance of playing time for young talents, citing the difficulties faced by players like Endrick who move to major European clubs too early. To address this, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has approved a plan to gradually reduce the maximum number of foreign players allowed in domestic club rosters, moving from nine to eight in 2027, and eventually to five by 2030.
In addition to the policy shifts, interest is growing in young midfielder Gabriel Bontempo. Following his recent call-up to the Seleção, the 21-year-old Santos player has attracted attention from European clubs. While previously linked to Serie A sides including Roma, he is reportedly now being closely monitored by Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. Bontempo has recorded six goals and four assists this season.
