Carlo Ancelotti defends his record, citing Alex Ferguson, amid Brazil criticism

Brazilian national team selector Carlo Ancelotti replied to criticism from Brazilian fans after the side’s dramatic 2‑1 victory over Japan at the World Cup. He stressed that, despite the backlash, his coaching experience is unrivaled aside from the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, who has overseen more than 2,000 matches.

Ancelotti highlighted his own résumé of over 1,400 matches across clubs such as Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint‑Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Napoli, and said the criticism is a normal part of football. He concluded that while he is open to advice from anyone, only Ferguson can truly match his depth of experience.
