Carlo Ancelotti initiates Brazil squad renewal for 2030 World Cup cycle

Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti is initiating a squad renewal process as the team begins its cycle toward the 2030 World Cup. Following Brazil's elimination in the recent World Cup, Ancelotti has indicated the end of the cycle for several veteran players, including Neymar, Casemiro, and Danilo.

The coach aims to integrate younger talent, specifically focusing on Brazilian players competing in international leagues. Ancelotti noted that the recent tournament marked the end of a significant generation and expressed a desire to build a squad capable of competing globally by 2030.

The upcoming squad announcement is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, at the CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The selected players will participate in two friendly matches against Australia in late September, held in Townsville and Brisbane. Additionally, players Rodrygo and Éder Militão are expected to be absent from the list as they continue to recover from respective knee and leg injuries.
