Brazil grants Carlo Ancelotti 20% salary rise through 2030 despite World Cup exit

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) extended coach Carlo Ancelotti's contract through the 2030 World Cup and approved a 20% salary increase, raising his monthly pay from R$5 million to R$6 million. The new terms amount to roughly R$72 million per season, or R$288 million in total until the next tournament, and retain a R$30 million bonus if Brazil win a future World Cup.

The raise makes Ancelotti the highest‑paid national‑team coach at the 2026 World Cup, a competition in which Brazil were knocked out in the round of 16. Media rankings list his annual earnings at about €10 million (≈ $11.3 million), ahead of other top coaches such as Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel.
