Fondazione INDA governance reform urged after superintendent resignation

Following the resignation of Daniele Pitteri as superintendent of the Fondazione INDA, regional deputy Carlo Auteri has called on the Ministry of Culture to reform the institution’s governance before appointing a successor.

Auteri argues that the frequent departure of leadership—noting that both Valeria Told and Pitteri left their posts prematurely—suggests systemic issues rather than personal conflicts. He points to previous concerns raised by the Court of Auditors regarding the overlapping competencies and unclear division of duties between the superintendent and the managing director.

Auteri emphasized that simply initiating a new selection process without addressing the underlying structural flaws would likely repeat past failures. He urged for clear definitions regarding artistic direction, resource management, and the actual autonomy granted to the superintendent role.
