Carlo Casap discusses career-ending injuries and club disputes

Romanian footballer Carlo Casap has spoken out about the career-altering injuries and club disputes that derailed his professional trajectory. Casap, once considered a top prospect at Hagi’s academy, detailed how a severe knee injury in 2017 occurred just as a transfer to Standard Liège was finalized and a call-up to the senior national team by Christoph Daum was imminent.

Casap further alleged that Farul Constanța failed to support him following a second major injury in 2020. He claimed the club refused to cover the costs of his surgery in Rome, forcing him to rely on loans from friends. In response, the club defended its position, noting that his salary had been increased during his tenure.
