Carlo Casseri, prominent Italian tourism professional, passes away

Carlo Casseri, a highly experienced professional in the Italian tourism sector, has passed away. Over a career spanning nearly forty years, Casseri held various leadership roles across hospitality, tourism distribution, tour operating, consultancy, and training.

His professional history includes positions at Valtur and Francorosso, management of hotel structures, and roles as General Manager. He served as Director of Travelshop Network and Commercial Director of Open Travel Network (later part of the Uvet Group), and held positions with I Viaggi del Delfino. Casseri was also a member of the board of directors for Fto (Federazione Turismo Organizzato) and collaborated extensively with Federalberghi.

In recent years, he focused on education, teaching at the Ente Bilaterale Turismo del Lazio, ITS Turismo Academy, and as a faculty member for the Tourism and Territory Master's program at Luiss Guido Carli.
