Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio Bicentennial Celebrated in Italy
Italy marks the 200th anniversary of Carlo Collodi’s classic tale with two major cultural initiatives. At Villa d’Este, a two‑day program features talks by Giordano Bruno Guerri, president of the Collodi Foundation, who will explore Pinocchio’s enduring relevance to education, personal growth and contemporary culture.
Separately, the Museo MAGMA in Civitanova Marche has launched an international graphic‑design call for 200 poster proposals that reinterpret the wooden puppet for a modern audience. The open competition invites designers worldwide to submit entries by 10 September 2026, with the selected works to be exhibited at the museum as part of the bicentennial celebration.
