Carlo Lucarelli returns to Rai3 with ‘Blu Notte’ true crime series

The true crime television program ‘Blu Notte’ is returning to Rai3 with a new series titled ‘Misteri dimenticati’. Hosted by Carlo Lucarelli, the six-episode series will examine twelve unsolved cases spanning from the late 1970s to the 2000s.

Joining Lucarelli as experts are former Mobile Squad leader Silio Bozzi, criminologist Margherita Carlini, and forensic pathologist Mirella Gherardi. Bozzi, who returns to Rai after approximately 26 years, noted the significant effort required for the research and documentation involved in the project.

The series will cover various high-profile investigations, including the ‘Dams murders’ in Bologna, the disappearance of magistrate Paolo Adinolfi and economist Federico Caffè, and cases involving serial killers in Modena and Udine. The production team clarified that the series will not cover the Garlasco case or the ‘Monster of Florence’ at this time.
