Carlo Poma Hospital workers protest cleaning and pay issues

The Cobas union has declared a state of agitation regarding cleaning services at the Carlo Poma Hospital in Mantova. The mobilization targets Coopservice, the company responsible for cleaning duties at the facility.

The union has raised several critical concerns, including inadequate sanitation in hospital wards and potential hygiene risks. Specifically, workers reported an incident where tools used to clean pigeon excrement were nearly used for cleaning inside hospital departments.

In addition to sanitation issues, the union is protesting labor irregularities. These include alleged discrepancies in pay slips related to holidays and sick leave, as well as unresolved questions regarding working hours and shifts.
