The Carlo Troya High School in Andria has been ordered to close until September 13 following reports of serious structural stability issues. The closure, mandated by an ordinance from the Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, affects all students, teachers, and administrative staff to ensure public safety.

Following a safety assessment by the State Property Agency, significant anomalies regarding the building's stability were identified. While classes are scheduled to resume on September 14, the provincial ordinance notes the possibility of the building's permanent decommissioning.

In response to the sudden closure just days before the new school year, the NPSI Andria has called for transparency from provincial authorities. The group is demanding clear information regarding the specific inspections to be conducted, the nature of any required repairs, and the definitive timeline for ensuring the building's safety.
