Carlo Vistoli to perform Händel at Teatro Fraschini

Countertenor Carlo Vistoli will perform ‘Amore e Danze’ at the Teatro Fraschini on Thursday, October 1. Accompanied by the Orchestra Ghislieri under the direction of Giulio Prandi, the concert serves as the fourth event in the fifth edition of the ‘Preludi d’Autunno – Intersezioni Sinfoniche’ series.

The program features arias, symphonies, and dances drawn from ten works by Georg Friedrich Händel, including Partenope, Giulio Cesare, Rinaldo, Alcina, Ariodante, and Amadigi di Gaula. The performance explores themes of love, disguise, jealousy, and betrayal through Händel’s expressive vocal and instrumental works.

This musical series acts as a cultural prelude to the city’s 2026/27 Opera Season, incorporating thematic intersections such as Giuseppe Verdi’s ‘Un ballo in maschera’.
