Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega discharged after heart surgery
Brazilian presenter and comedian Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega, 90, has been discharged from Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo following a successful surgery to implant a cardiac pacemaker.
The hospitalization followed a Coxsackie type 2 virus infection, which exacerbated a pre-existing condition of heart failure. The presenter had been experiencing symptoms such as fatigue and malaise for several months, eventually developing bradycardia and other arrhythmias that necessitated the surgical procedure.
Upon returning to his residence, de Nóbrega was greeted by his wife, Renata de Nóbrega. The comedian noted home renovations completed during his absence, including the installation of a new panoramic elevator.
