Carlos Alcaraz resumes training ahead of Laver Cup rematch

Carlos Alcaraz has returned to training in Murcia as he prepares for the upcoming Laver Cup in London. The world No. 3 is working toward the end of the 2026 season following a US Open campaign that saw him reach the quarterfinals after returning from a five-month wrist injury.

The Laver Cup, held at The O2 from September 25-27, will feature a rematch between Alcaraz and Ben Shelton, who defeated the Spaniard in a five-set match in New York. Alcaraz will compete for Team Europe alongside Alexander Zverev, while Shelton will represent Team World.

Following the tournament in London, Alcaraz's schedule includes the ATP 500 in Tokyo, the Shanghai Masters, the Paris Masters, and the ATP Finals. His primary focus remains maintaining health and form for these high-priority events.
