Carlos Alcaraz trains with left hand ahead of US Open despite wrist injury

Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, sidelined by a right‑wrist tendon injury first diagnosed at the Barcelona tournament in mid‑April, has missed the Madrid, Rome, French Open, Queen's and Wimbledon events. He confirmed his withdrawal from Wimbledon weeks ago and has been focusing on rehabilitation.

Alcaraz posted recent videos showing cardio work on an athletics track and indoor court drills in his Murcia academy, using only his left hand to hit balls while protecting the injured wrist. He aims to be fully fit for the US Open, which starts on 30 August in New York, but will not travel if his wrist is not 100 % recovered.
