Carlos Arias proposes to Sheynnis Palacios in San Salvador

Carlos Arias jokingly proposed marriage to Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023, in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador. The interaction occurred during a video tour of El Salvador's historic center, which included visits to the National Palace and the National Library.

While the video captured Arias asking, “What if we marry here? Yes?”, no formal engagement or ring was presented. The couple, who went public with their relationship in July 2026, shared the footage as part of a series titled “Te llevo a conocer mi tierra” (I take you to know my land).
