Carlos Boledi, historic Sarmiento stadium announcer, dies

Carlos Boledi, the historic stadium announcer for Club Atlético Sarmiento in Junín, has passed away. Boledi was a prominent figure in local football, known for his distinctive “¡Atención! ¡Atención!” call that preceded player lineups at the Eva Perón Stadium.

Throughout his career, Boledi announced several legendary players who played for the club, including Daniel Passarella, Ricardo Gareca, and Toti Iglesias. He was part of a long-standing announcing duo alongside Aníbal Miró.

Club Atlético Sarmiento expressed its condolences via social media, stating that with his passing, an “unmistakable voice of the history of Club Atlético Sarmiento” has gone silent, noting his deep devotion to the club's colors.
