Carlos Cuerpo and José María Figaredo clash in Spanish Congress

During a control session in the Spanish Congress, Vox deputy José María Figaredo engaged in a heated debate with First Vice President and Minister of Economy Carlos Cuerpo. Figaredo raised several critical issues, including the situation regarding Judge Beatriz Biedma, the economic state of Spanish citizens, and the crisis in Ceuta.

Figaredo criticized the government's handling of inflation, describing price increases as “terrorífica” and linking them to increased fiscal pressure and a loss of purchasing power. He argued that Spaniards are experiencing unprecedented poverty, particularly affecting young people's ability to access housing and start families.

In response, Minister Carlos Cuerpo accused Vox of hypocrisy. He stated that while the party uses rhetoric to defend families, the countryside, and households, they consistently vote against the government's legislative initiatives and aid packages designed to protect the primary sector and support the economy of Spanish families.
