Carlos Cuesta may return to Galatasaray in January

Colombian defender Carlos Cuesta faces an uncertain future at Vasco da Gama due to recent injuries. The player has been unable to participate in the last five matches, and his recovery timeline remains unclear.

Vasco da Gama reportedly does not intend to exercise the 5.75 million euro purchase option in his contract. If the Brazilian club maintains this stance and no other suitors emerge, Cuesta is expected to return to Galatasaray in January.

Cuesta previously failed a medical examination during a potential transfer to Spartak Moscow, which led to his current loan spell at Vasco da Gama. While the Brazilian side initially considered a permanent transfer, the arrangement was finalized as a loan.
