Carlos Espí called up to Spain national team

Real Madrid forward Carlos Espí has been called up to the Spanish senior national team by manager Luis de la Fuente. The 21-year-old will replace Ferran Torres, who is sidelined with a left ankle injury, for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against the Czech Republic and Croatia.

Espí, a former Levante UD player, earned his spot following a standout performance with the U-21 squad, where he scored five goals in a match against San Marino. He joined Real Madrid this past summer on a five-season contract after a successful tenure at Levante, where he helped the team achieve promotion to LaLiga EA Sports and was named the best U-23 player in LaLiga Hypermotion.
