Carlos Espí has emerged as a standout performer for Real Madrid during the club's preseason. The Valencian striker, signed from Levante for 25 million euros following the sale of Gonzalo to Fulham, has become the team's top scorer throughout the summer friendly matches.

Despite playing only 150 minutes across four appearances, Espí has scored twice, including goals against Ferencváros and Schalke. His clinical performance provides manager José Mourinho with a tactical option to rotate the squad and offer rest to Kylian Mbappé.
