Carlos Espí scores five in historic Spain U21 win
Carlos Espí made history with the Spain Under-21 national team by scoring five goals in a single match during a 13-0 victory over San Marino. The performance, which also included two assists from the Real Madrid striker, has placed him at the center of significant attention.
Following his record-breaking display, Espí has been called up to the senior Spanish national team by manager Luis de la Fuente. He serves as a replacement for Ferran Torres, who had to withdraw from the squad due to persistent left ankle discomfort.
The massive win against San Marino moves Spain closer to direct qualification for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, placing them at the top of Group A.
