Carlos Ezpeleta promoted to Deputy CEO of MotoGP
Liberty Media has announced a leadership reshuffle within the MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group (formerly Dorna Sports). Carlos Ezpeleta, who has served as the series' sporting director for over a decade, has been promoted to the newly created role of Deputy CEO.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, who has led the organization since 1992, will remain in his position as CEO. The move is seen as a way to ensure management continuity following Liberty Media’s €4.2 billion acquisition of the MotoGP Group in 2024.
In his new capacity, Carlos Ezpeleta will expand his responsibilities beyond sporting matters to include business strategy, market expansion, and the development of the series' global fan base and media products.
