Carlos Garcia-Moreno charged in Egg Harbor Township stabbing

Carlos Garcia-Moreno, 36, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, has been charged following a stabbing incident in Egg Harbor Township. Officers responded to the 2700 block of Fire Road at approximately 3:42 am on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Police located two victims suffering multiple stab wounds to their faces and bodies. Although the injuries were severe, they were determined to be non-life-threatening. Garcia-Moreno turned himself in to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department approximately six hours after the investigation began.

Garcia-Moreno faces several charges, including two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, home invasion burglary, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, possession of a weapon, and terroristic threats. He is currently held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
