Carlos Gustavo Araújo assumes role as new parish priest in Tovar

Father Carlos Gustavo Araújo has officially assumed his role as the new spiritual leader for the Nuestra Señora del Amparo and San Pedro Apóstol parishes in the Tovar municipality.

The installation ceremony was led by Monsignor Helizandro Terán, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Mérida. During the Eucharist, the Archbishop called for prayers for the new priest and encouraged the faithful to support his leadership.

Father Araújo, who previously trained in the Mocotíes Valley, expressed his gratitude for returning to the community as a priest rather than a seminarian. He encouraged local residents to work together and urged young people to remain steadfast in their faith.
