Carlos Hernández criticizes Alajuelense coaching decisions

Carlos Hernández, a prominent figure in Costa Rican football, expressed strong disapproval of Alajuelense's performance following their draw against Puntarenas at the Lito Pérez stadium.

Taking to his official X profile, Hernández criticized coach Óscar Ramírez for tactical decisions that led to the team dropping two points. He specifically noted that while the match appeared controlled, the decision to shift to a defensive formation with nearly six players in the back resulted in a poor reading of the game.

Alajuelense had taken a lead through Ronaldo Cisneros before a lengthy rain delay. However, the team focused on defending the advantage, allowing Puntarenas to equalize via a goal from Dariel Castrillo in the 90th minute.
