Political shifts and legislative appointments across Brazil
Several political appointments and substitutions have occurred across various legislative levels in Brazil.
In the Federal Senate, Sargento Reginauro (PSDB-CE) has been sworn in as a senator for Ceará, replacing Eduardo Girão, who requested a four-month leave. Reginauro, a reserve sergeant and former state deputy, stated his focus will include public security, fighting organized crime, and advocating for oncology patients' rights under the '60-day law'.
In São Paulo, Ricardo Salles announced that Frederico D’Ávila will replace Marcos Alcântara Machado as the first substitute on his Senate ticket. This follows Machado's resignation from the position.
At the municipal level, Carlos Kleber Almeida (PSD) has taken office as a city councilor in Salvador, replacing Felipe Santana, who is campaigning for state deputy. Almeida intends to focus on public health, philanthropic institutions, and policies for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Additionally, in Araras, São Paulo, Douglas Marcucci has been called to temporarily occupy a seat in the City Council for 30 days during the leave of councilor Lúcio Casa Bela.
