Carlos Lagrange makes dominant Triple-A return for Yankees prospect

New York Yankees prospect Carlos Lagrange made a successful return to the mound on Wednesday, pitching one scoreless inning for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. This appearance follows a hiatus since June 28 due to a right shoulder capsular sprain.

During his outing against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Lagrange demonstrated significant velocity, averaging 100.3 mph on his fastballs and reaching a peak of 102 mph. He recorded two strikeouts in the sixth inning while allowing only one hit.

Lagrange, ranked as the Yankees’ No. 4 overall prospect, has been undergoing rehabilitation since his injury in July. While the organization has viewed him as a potential starting pitcher, there has been internal discussion regarding his ability to serve as a high-velocity relief option for the Yankees' bullpen.
