Carlos Álvarez arrives in Mexico City to sign with Club América

Spanish midfielder Carlos Álvarez has arrived in Mexico City to sign with Club América. The 21-year-old transfer comes from Levante UD for a reported fee of 6 million euros, securing a three-year contract.

Álvarez revealed that he consulted with former América player Álvaro Fidalgo before making his decision. According to Álvarez, Fidalgo told him that the club is ‘el sitio ideal’ (the ideal place).

Following medical examinations and the contract signing, Álvarez is expected to undergo an adaptation period under manager Guillermo Almada. He is projected to make his debut toward the end of September.
