Carlos March warns of technofeudalism and civic ignorance

Political analyst and former director of Poder Ciudadano, Carlos March, has warned of the rise of ‘technofeudalism’ and its impact on democratic systems in Latin America. Speaking at the IV Anti-Corruption Congress in Santa Fe and Paraná, March argued that large technology corporations are increasingly dominating markets in a way that challenges democratic institutions.

March also criticized current educational systems for failing to provide necessary civic tools, suggesting they promote civic ignorance. Regarding the local political landscape in Argentina, he referenced institutional reforms under the government of Javier Milei, noting trends where the State moves toward autocracy while the market evolves toward a model controlled by tech giants.
